Hi,

your asking valid question,if there is no benefits with XI/PI,clients does't go & does't shows any interst to implement in this recession period.

just find the below points.

1.Now a days companies merging and demerging hapening regularly bcoz if they want to run their business properly and accuratly first they should integrate all the systems. otherwise they will lose so much.

2.if client already got SAP lisence, better to go for XI/PI and SAP Labs adding new versions every year and the main reason to choose XI/PI its very light weight component, flexible to work and its having no.of adapters,BPM's and more options to integrate different type of systems irrespective of thier landscapes and lot more things are avoilable which we dont have in other middilewares..

3.XI implemention is really worth full not even recession time its always worth full.

Hi,

if you are going to implemet XI as a middleware in landscape, you have to consider below points

1)Which Tyep os systems invloving in LandScape,Intergaration between SAP with other Systems (non-sap) go for SAP XI/PI Best solutions.

if no sap system in landscape XI is not a good solution.(go for webmethods or tibco)

search in SDN u wl find already some threads available comparison with other middlewares.

Hi ,

The question that someone should be asking is the other way round what advantages that other middle wares give that XI does not give.

And what does recession got to do with implementation of XI or not. Quality cannot be compromised upon and its no use being penny wise and pound foolish , if you go about using other middlewares.

XI definitely breaks even in the long run .
