MB5L Issue

Hi,

In MB5L,there is a variance at semi-finished goods this is due to work in process...calculated and settled...

there is something missing somewhere...this may be because they are not accounting WIP in their ledger(inventory ledger I mean)

please suggest me what is the problem?

Thanks

Supriya

in MB5L report material currency field will show total stock available* std price/MAV price ( from material point of view) and stock account currency will show amount balance in GL account assigned via valuation class in BSX ( OBYC settings).

If there is any difference between material value and FI GL postings, it will show in variance.

once period end is closed, then these two balances should match.

if you see the report for current period always there will be a chance for difference ( because total cycle may not completed for the material GR posted but invoice not posted, again in invoice there may be a price difference etc.,)

in your case i think stock accounted in material already , but FI Stock GL account not yet posted.

as you know during WIP, wip will not be posted directly to stock accounts.

another point here is stock account currency field will take GL Balance directly, it won't check material number in BSEG/MSEG that means even if you select one material in MB5L, the GL balance will be total balance.
