Hi,
We have setup CEN Autoreactions - to trigger emails for all required
alert MTEs
For eg:
If last backup is more than 8 days/crosses RED thresold, then an email
will go to the concerned email group intimating the same
the problem is : for some MTEs
eg:
CCMS agent down or Dialog response time or No of free BTC WPs and many more
the alert emails come so frequently till its RED or yellow
for some MTEs like last DB backup or archive backup, mail comes only once
We are getting requests from teams managing the solutions to reduce the
frequent of alerts for some MTEs
I am looking for a solution at the earliest. Thanks in advance

These are the settings done in the properties of particular MTE class which you are monitoring via Autoreaction
Like for Dialog Response time in dialog overview, if you opens the properties and then method execution,
there you can see
Start the data collection method every 0 seconds
In the absence of values deactivate after 0 seconds
but for backup or some other kind of MTEs,
Start the data collection method every 300 seconds
In the absence of values deactivate after 900 seconds
so, here you can see the difference and criticality that the data collection is triggering in every 0 seconds for one and every 300 seconds for the other, so accordingly the alerts will come
and the thing in general tab, 'do not trigger the alerts within the first xx seconds'...the difference in responsiveness in different MTEs
so you might have to adust these properties..
