Configurable material - change characteristics

Hi,

We use configurable material to determinate the price of our line items in the sales order.

When the sales order has been fully invoiced, it's not possible anymore to change the charachteristics attached to the material.

Do you know a way to make it modifiable?

Hi Nathalie

If the configurable material has been fully invoiced then and if you want to change the characteristic then you need to cancel the billing document (VF11) , cancel the delivery document (VL09) and then go to VA02 and then you can change the characteristic

Nathalie, although it makes sense to not be able to change characteristics after invoicing, and aside from following the previous response, have you tried to change the characteristics value(s).

On ECC 6 there was actually a little bug, wherein even though they showed "read-only" and greyed out, you could still actually change them !
