Hi Experts,

I have installed sap netweaver 2004 on my system but when I am trying to login to the system using sap* and default password, it says login failed.

To be more specific :

I created a new client using SCC4 and assigned a logical system to the client but when i am using the newly created client number in the log on screen using the user name sap* and password pass it says login failed.

I am able to login to the sap defined clients using sap*.

What can i do to login to the newly created client using sap*.

P.S : My Master password for the system is also not working.

Awaiting for your precious replies.

Regards,

Abhinab Mishra

Hi

Go to the path /usr/sap/SID/SYS/profiles set the parameter login/no_automatic_user_sapstar =0 in instance profile

Bounce the system and try to login with SAP* if still you are unable to login then login to database level

sqlplus "/as sysdba"

sql>delete from SAPSR3.USR02 where BNAME='SAP* and MANDT='<client number>';

commit;

SAPSR3 stand the schema id

Client number should be your new client

Bounce the sytem at the end after doing this
