Hi,
The following workflow for creating a simple derived table displays an error message.
-Launch designer
-Create a new or select an existing universe with a connection to an informix database
-Go to the menu bar and select "Insert"
-Choose "Terived Table"
-Do a simple select eg "select * from <tablename>"
-Result
:Exception: DBD, [Informix ODBC Driver][Informix]A syntax error has ocured. State: 42000
Anyone has any ideas?
Informix Dynamic Server 7.3
driver 2.8
Thanks for pointers
Ken
Hi Ken.
We are running IDS 10.0 and have attempted to create derived tables before and were unsuccessful. It appears you can't create derived tables on an Informix database as it doesn't seem to be supported. I came across some information on this issue but I can no longer access the link as it was on the old Business Objects support site (pre SAP).
I have read that derived tables are supported in IDS 11.0. I can't recall if this was mentioned on above link or somewhere else.
Regards, Brendon.
