Memory space acquired by cube in database

Hi,

Does dimension tables & fact tables of cube reside at different places in memory?

Depending on the technical settings of your cube (menu Extra/Db storage parameters) the dimension tables and the fact tables may or not be stored on different tablespace (the data class you can see in the technical settings of the cube is linked to a tablespace in the table IAORA for Oracle db).

thanks...where i can get more more information on the data clasess 7 how it is related to database memory allocation..

Hmm, not sure to understand your concern. Data class define the place where the data is stored at disk level. Cube are not stored in memory, SQL request may be put in cache (in the same memory space through a join on the dimension tables and the fact tables).
