Maximum number of CVC's in Demand planning?

Hello all.

Does anyone have any idea about what the maximum practical number of CVC's in a DP setup might be?

I realize that it's primarily limited by machine power & RAM, but there's got to be some sort of typical maximum?

We're currently running with a setup that has 50-60.000 CVC's, this seems fairly small. But we're thinking of setups that would have CVC's into the millions. Does anyone have experiences or knowledge about where the boundary might be?

It varies from client to client. The maximum Number of characterstics that a client normally uses can be around 10-12, so CVCs can be around 200000-300000

I've never heard of an upper limit.

use the quicksizer tool to get a sense of the impact of CVC / Version / KF on your box.

it is pretty easy to use and can generate right on the fly.
