Difference between PFCG and Role Expert

Can you please give some difference between ERM(Role Expert) and PFCG.

What are the major Difference and advantages

Some of the advantages of ERM over PFCG are :

ERM provides the ability to generate roles for multiple systems simutaneously, perform risk analysis on those roles, trigger workflow for approval of role before generation, complete change history of roles.

As per SAP, you should not compare PFCG and ERM. PFCG has been out there for long time and it is a proven transaction for maintaining and generating roles. I will say ERM is enhanced version of PFCG but still lacks some of the feature from PFCG.

ERM can act as central repository for all of your SAP roles. Using ERM, you can maintain roles from different clients and different servers from a single place. The major advantages of ERM are enforcement of naming convention, integration with CUP for workflow approval process and integration with RAR for real time risk analysis.

Hello Selva,

PFCG is a SAP transaction for role creation and maintenance, whereas ERM is a product of SAP GRC Access Controls and is a way to better manage and control PFCG, taking care of SODs etc.
