how can upgrade software component

Dear All,

I am applying support patches on my ECC 6.0 server for SAP_APPL component

i had applied up to SAPKH60009

but for SAPKH60010 i found some dependincy like

SAPKNA7009

SAPKW70013and SAPKIPYM01 etc

for fulling these it is showing in requirement list

PI_BASIS,2006_1_700

this is software component while we have only PI_BASIS,2005__2005_1_700

so tell me how to do that ....

for that we have to upgrade kernel....

or anything else...

please help me out

hi

these software components PI_BASIS,2005__2005_1_700 are plugins,you can install them through T-Code SAINT and these are available in the service market place,follow the same procedure as you use while applying any other software packages through SPAM

you dont need to do kernel upgrade for this

then how to use SAINT

through SAPM

i am coppying car file into trans dir

and then uncar these through SAPCAR -xvf sapk****

and then through ddic user

i load packege from application server (.att & .pat files in eps in dir)

then just import...

thats it

but tell me how can i do for SAINT

no after you have extracted the files and placed in trans directory

then use T-Code SAINT and then follow the same procedure as you follow while using SPAM

its no difference

just that the plugins are installed using T-code SAINT

Just to add to this... when downloading from SAP Marketplace download the "Delta upgrade" as the component is already installed.

Hi,

You download the plugin from service market place as 'Delta Upgrade' and use tcode SAINT, apply the plugin. SAINT is similar to SPAM.
