Db2 log files

Hi,

We are taking the online backup in db13.The logs files are stored in db2/<sid>/log_archive.How this logs files stored in this postion.I want it to see the configration setting this.Please help me..

Hi,

BRTOOLS will help to copy the files to spcified location.

DB2 UDB doesn't have BRTOOLS...

you should study some admin guides for DB2 on sap, lot of difference whether sap on oracle or on db2

configuration settings can be seen in the parameter log_dir, what is the value of it for your system and db history command, you can use db2 config to check config settings

also, this SAP Note 913481 provides upto date infor DB2 log file management

and what is your udb version , is it 8.x or 9.1 ?
