problems with the installation of SAP NetWeaver 7.0...

hi all,

I want to install SAP Netweaver 7.0 SR3 on Windows 2008 Server, but never finishes installing...

I do not see any error, it stays in step 20 and no more progress..

Is there some compatibility issues with windows 2008 server?

What is the JDK version you are using ?

With 1.4.2_18 and 1.4.2_19 we are currently having massive stack overflow

Note 716604 - Access to Sun J2SE and recommended J2SE options

Did you check installation document for all the pre requisites? Also you can check the PAM at http://service.sap.com/pam and installation guides at http://service.sap.com/instguides

Step 20 is Import Java Dump, and the bottom reads Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.2_18-b06, mixed mode)

Is there any specific reason you are going for windows 2008 server?

Can you let us know what is that phase 20

Have you checked in sapinst_directory for logs
