Dear Experts,
There are some material which are produced inhouse(finihed goods) and procured from outside(trading goods).
So in material master what to maintain the item category group (HAWA or FERT).
In a sales order we give 100 units of material X.( Say 30units are finished goods and rest are trading goods).Requirement is that at the end of the day i need to know how much sale has happened plant wise for finished goods and trading goods
Regards
Jyoti
Hi Prakash,
You can go with either material type FERT or HALB, and ensure you give the procurement type as X in MRP2 view of the material master , also, you can have the sales per day.

Jyothi,
your requirement is
"Requirement is that at the end of the day i need to know how much sale has happened plant wise for finished goods and trading goods"
Try using Tcode MC+Q SIS: Sales - selection.
Or you can check in VF05N
or you can choose inserting plant in VF05 Report
Img --> SD --> Billing --> Lists --> Define selection Criteria
First click "position" tab to find no of items selected on screen
Enter SAPMV65A Program and pres Enter, it will show the list of items used for this program. If it shows "8" as last item used then
Copy the line with Program = SAPM65A,TRG =7, DIS = D, Var = empty, Event = "selk", It=8, Field name = GJAHR - Copy this line item
Change It = 9 and Field name = WERKS and click save.
Now Execute VF05, Enter The customer and choose the material (here you can choose for material type = FERT or HAWA) then Proceed.
Select "Further sel. Criteria" tab and enter Plant.
and check the report...

Hi
First of all let us not worry about material types in SD at all
Material type controls some basic functions with regerd to that such as
1.No range assignment internal or external
2.What are the no of views to be opened and in what sequence it has to open
3.Quantity and value updation for the material etc
All these are key MM functions
For your requirement you can have exactly the same settings in t code OMS2 for both FERT and HAWA
So while creating the material in MM01 the controls will be the same either if you choose as HAWA or FERT
Both HAWA or FERT can be given as item category group as NORM in sales org data 1 view
From here only the entire SD starts with the triggereing of item cat for sales orderwhich comes thro item category group in sales org data 1 view of MMR
So norm can be used
