Planning Strategy 50 not working Properly

Former Member

Hi all,

I'm having trouble setting planning strategy 50, I've done the following:

Strategy group 50 on the MRP screen

Consumption mode = 1, and Backward days = 100

Item category group = NORM on the Sales Organization screen

A BOM is set for the finished product.

components settings:

Set MRP type = P1

the Individual/coll. indicator = 2 (for a make-to-stock procurement of components in a make-to-order environment).

Then,

Entered Planned Independet requirements (VSE) at 100 pieces for three months.

Entered Sales order for 90 pieces for the second month, (req, type KVE)

I should see a consumption on the stock/requirements list of 90 pieces for the first planned independent requirement, it should display a qty of -10 on the received/required quantity column, but it's not happening. What is missing?

I'll appreciate your kind help

Regards

TR

Hi TR,

I applied the setting described by you:

material

- MRP type: P1

- Strategy group: 50

- Consumption mode: 1

- Backward consumption: 100 days

- Item category: NORM

- Individual/collective indicator: 2

PIR:

- PIR entered for three months, 100 pcs for each

SO:

- 90 pcs

IndReq qty has been reduced from 100 pcs to 10 pcs just as in the example in SAP online help....

But the requirement type of my SO item is "041" (V_TVEPZ_V).

Requirement type "KVE" mentioned by you does not exist in our (standard) system ...please try to use "041" and test whether it works or not...

Regards,

Csaba

Thanks for your prompt answer,

The issue was resolved by confirming the schedule line in the sales order, and changing the availability check to KP on MRP3 in the material master.
