Images and .NET DHTML Viewer

We are using Crystal 2008 and the DHTML viewer through ASP.NET.

Any reports containing charts, images or other graphics load the data properly but do not display the images. There is a red x where the image is located.

We have tried moving the images to a local directory but nothing seems to work.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

+Is there a way to handle this other than having to modify web.config? +

- unfortunately, no

This seems to be very burdensome as each site may need to modify the file based on their version of Crystal.

- OK, you got me there. Tell me more. I mean, if your app is compiled with CR 2008 runtime, why are we worried about different versions of CR?

Why does the .NET viewer fail to load the images? Is it a security issue?

- no. This is not a security issue. This is how CR works.
