How to change the host name of the PI server?

Hi Guys,

How to change the host name afte the installation? We have a PI 7.1 production system and we did a VM of that server and want to use that clone as a Test system but with different host name.

Can anybody suggest how to acheive this?

hi,

as far as I remember from one OSS note (I don't remember the number)

changing the hostname was not supported by SAP

so just do a fresh install for test system and you're done

I can bet this will be 100 times faster then reparing errors

after unsuccessful hostname change - but it's just my opinion
