Hi Friends,

ist it possible to create a transport and extract a certain support package and then import the same in a different system?

I mean, copy SAPKW70016 from System S01 -> S02.

Thanks for you answer.

Dear Jim,

Support packs contain collection of corrections of that particular component. once u apply support packages the changes will reflect in respective tables.

So I don't think what you intend to do will be possible.

You can transfer contents of tables through TRs. So if you know what are all the tables that are being updated, May be you could achieve what you want with this work-around, but this will require you know all tables.

Regards,

Siv

HI JImbob,

Ididnt understnad the purpose of the requirment. or is just what u think and put forward here ...

Actually when u apply a supportpackage its nothing but a import at os level. if you want it to transfer to another system u just need to downlad SAPKW70016 again which might take 5-10 min.

And if you look in the transport folder at os level you might get datafiles and co files for that perticular suportpackage, so if you experimenting with the system copy those files form one system to another and try import it in stms.

Best Luck.
