SAP PI on SAP ECC 5.0 SR1

Can we Install SAP PI 7.0 on SAP ECC 5.0 SR1 running on windows server with oracle 9i as the database??

To avoid performance issues, I am going with a fresh installation ,rather it is possible by upgrading the db from 9i to 10g.

i dont think it is impossible

install oracle10g and set environmental variables properly so that ecc will talk to 9i and PI talk to 10g

i have done this kind before on windows environment with out any issue but performance will be a factor to consider
