Dear Consultants ,
I would like to schedule a report to print each day and then have it sent via email to someone. Is that possible. I would also like to have the report sent in an excel format as well.
Please help me out in sorting it out ...
Regards
Sunil
Assuming you are running the report in SAP and not from BW --> Have you tried to schedule a background job? You will need to know the program name & variant that you want to run.
Menu path: System > Environment > Jobs > Define Job
You can create a job to execute at a specific time each day, each work day, or on any type of schedule (once a month, annual, etc.)
You can identify how the report is to be distributed (SAP mail, automatically printed, etc)
Also, you may want to talk to your admin folks about identifying a user name to be used for creating the job. This is because the job uses the authorization objects assigned to the person that created the job. If you create it using your logon, and then leave the company, chances are this job will stop running because your security folks should have deactivated your account. We use a BATCHMM user ID for all job creations in MM. This user has special access and special rules about password duration.
This is only one available option for running your reports.
