When upgrade ERP 4.6c to ECC 6.0, the relation of SCM 4.1 or scm 7.0

Hi. experts.

We use ERP 4.6C and SAP APO 4.1.

We will upgrade our SAP ERP 4.6C to ECC 6.0, in this case, Will we must upgrade our APO 4.1 to latest APO version?

Our using APO modules are DP, SNP, GATP, PP/DS.

If we only upgrade ERP system (not with APO system), What problems happen?

If this problems, anyone knows, give me infos of simple or brief .

Hi Choi,

There are significant changes from SCM 4.1 to SCM 2007(5.1).

As per the exection point of view there is no problem.

Your work is not going to suffer if you are upgrading R/3 system.

So no problem if you only upgrade ERP system (not with APO system),

But SCM 2007 caters enhanced functionality specially in PPDS and GATP.

1. In PPDS as per SAP standard we need to use PDS in place of PPMs. This is most significant change

2. in GATP the availability check and execution time has been reduced significantly.

So to take the significant enhancement you should upgrade your SCM system.

I will say to use SCM7 not SCM 2007(5.1)
