Offline form error: File does not begin with '%PDF-'.

Hi All,

I am implementing an offline form scenario in NW CE, the Adobe version is 9.1 and IE version is 6.0. ALD 7.1 is installed, and ZCI forms are being used.

When I browse and select a PDF file in file upload UI and try to display the same form using a button, I get an error popup: File does not begin with '%PDF-'.

When I give OK in the popup, there is another popup:

Server Error:

Class: WDJ_Acroform Method: error

Message: Could not send message!

Have you come across this issue? Kindly sugeest if this has got to do something with IE/ Adobe settings...have tried a few things already but did not help.

I have searched some SAP notes and a lot of threads most of which have a mention of Apache configuration. This does not hold good in my scenario.

Regards,

Anagha

I would probably open this message in a wider forum - Webdynpro - as I suspect this problem could be coming during file upload (before the offline form comes into picture).

I need the solution too...

Hi,

I found the solution for this.

Check an indicator "Display PDF in browser" on Adobe Reader application.

You can find the indicator as below.

Open Adobe Reader

-> select the menu "Edit"

-> select "Preferences"

-> select the Category "Internet"

-> set the indicator "Display PDF in browser"

We should set this indicator in order to display PDF forms in browser.

Best regards,

Tadasuke
