Hello,
I am interested in expanding my skill sets in the area of SAP. I understand there is a functional and development side. I am most suited for the functional side and seem to be leaning towards Finance or BW areas. Does anyone have some advice they can provide to me on training, expectations for how long it takes to really be considered knowledgable in this area? I have a broad background in application development and am certified in Project Management.
Much appreciated
Lorna
Welcome to SDN
Yes, You are right SAP has both functional and technical areas also in functional side it has modules linke Production Planning, Materials Management, Financials, sales and distribution and so on. It depends on the functional experience which you have. Suppose you have Production back ground industry experience it's a good option to get into SAP Production Planning module. BW need both technical and functional experience.
