Unable to delete Portal content- Object locked

Hi all,

I am in process of creating the BI system in portal, at present, I need to make changes to the BI backend system created in the Portal and somehow, the portal is issuing message that "Read-only mode. Object is currently locked by user: J2EE_ADMIN.".

I have tried logging out and back in, yet the object remains in "Read only mode" and the Edit button does not make any change.

Does it require a system restart, instance restart or otherwise?

Please advise.

Hi,

Go to System Admin-Monitoring-Portal-Object Locking

Select the system object and click unlock.

Hi

Looks like temprary (Cache) Issue . Close all the browsers clear the cacahe.

Hi,

Go to System administration -> Monitoring -> Portal -> Object Locking

Unlock the pcd object that you want.

Hi

Go to System adminstrator role in portal, check in monitoring workset under that object locking in portal.

Delete all the locks.

Hi,

I managed to remove lock simply by right click on the object. Thanks for your help.
