Dear Gurus,
I have a few queries regarding activities, their relationships & confirmation.
1. During planning, if one activity 'A' is a successor of say 3 activities and with all 3 it has different relationship (FS,SS,FF) with some offsets. Now out of the 3 activities to which the activity 'A' is linked, which one is the driver activity.Means, delay in which activity will effect the schedule of Activity 'A'. and how to find it.
2. How can we suspend an activity for some time in PS.
3. There is one service activity. After say 25%completion of same, its decided that remaining work will be carried out in-house (internally). What are different ways of handling such a scenario???
Pls give your valueable suggestions on this.
Regards,
VDS
Dear Rupesh,
Answer of your query no.2
You can suspend activity by using Lock function for activity. For this you 1st go into CJ20N tcode then click on activity which you wanted to suspend for certain peroid, for that click on Activity and follow the below menu path
Edit>Status>Lock>Master Data/Dates/Planning/Budget/Account Assignment/All
as per your requirement you can lock the activity.
Answer of your query no.2
If one of service actvity is completed upto 25% & it's actual payment is done to vendor, then you can lock this service activity. Now you have decided to do this by internally so create new internal activity.and start the execution of internal activity.
Hopeing this will be usefull.

Sandeep

Answer for your query 1:
Now out of the 3 activities to which the activity 'A' is linked - All the three activities are linked to A...because it is a successor to all 3
which one is the driver activity - Whichever activity is critical activity(float = 0) then that is the driver activity. delay in critical activity will delay the successor activity.
