Hi All,
I am trying to create MDM system in EP. MDM is 5.5 SP06. EP is 7.0 . We have upgraded the MDM sca files on Portal from SP05 to SP06.
While creating the system , after entering the server, we are getting the following error.
com.sap.mdm.internal.protocol.manual.ServerException: File failed a crc check
Please help
Regards
Shilpa
Hi Shilpa,
Whne you are working with the MDM EP integration matching of the compatible sca files are very essential.
Even if any one of the sca file are of a differnt MDM version and Support pack the integration will fail.
So make sure the three essential sca file:
- MDMJAVAAPI06_02.sca
- BPMDMTECHN06_02.sca
- BPMDMAPPLL06_02.sca
Are of the exact Version and patch as well.As given in the above example 06 stands for the Support pack and 02 the support patch.
Both these paarmeters must match for teh integration to work fine.
NOTE: After installing these sca file you need to restart the Portal server
Also if you do not find the matching sca files on service market place upgrade your mdm server to the available version and then install the sca files.
Hope It Helped
Thanks & Regards

Hi Shilpa,
If this is your MDM build version 5.5.63.80 SP06. It means you are using MDM 5.5 SP06 Patch3 hotfix 80.
You need to find the Sca file of compatible with this version.
So they should be
- MDMJAVAAPI06_03.sca
- BPMDMAPPLN06_03.sca
- BPMDMTECHN06_03.sca
The hotfix number can slightly differ but the Support pack and patch number must match.
You need to follow this link:
(download MDM support packages) Download>support packages and patches>entry by application
group>sap netweaver>sap mdm>sap mdm 5.5>Entry by component>Portal content
Then select which MDM portal content you want and check what is the version of those available sca files.
based on the availablity of the sca files you need to upgrade/downgrade or server.
As compatibility between the server version and sca files is a must for proper functioning. If its not possible to change your mdm server version then you can ask your Basis team to hunt the matching sca files for you.
Hope It Helped
Thanks & Regards

Hi Shilpa,
This is a because of version mismatch. Even Patch level plays the major role, deploy the SCA files from the same Business Package from which you have installed MDM Server. Also first undeploy the previously deployed SCA files and then deploy the new ones. Dont forget to restart the J2EE engine.
If you have already deployed the correct SCA files then restart the J2EE once.

hi Shilpa,
It seems to be a version mismatch between the Business Packae instlled on Portal and MDM server. Ensure that you have same SP level on both.

Arafat
