Drillable Crystal Report-2008 Version

Hi All,

Could you please tell me how to create a simple Drill report using Crystal reports 2008. I don't have Universe to have hierarchy, I just want to create a drill report using Oracle as a source.

Ex: using Emp and Dept tables.

Hi Anil,

Create a report, insert a group, suppress Detail section and click on group item to show the drill down.

For example :

Create a report using xtreem sample datauser customer tableinsert a group on country--place few fileds on detail section and Hide drill down(ok) option.

Now when you click on group item it will go in drill down.

Thanks Sastry. could you pls tell me, if we select 'Hide drill down(ok)' option, the report is displaying only group names. it is not meaningful and if I double click on any group name then the results are opening in different page.

can't we do drill report like we do in BO?

Hi Anil,

If you do not use Hide Drill Down (ok) option then we can see all information in the same page. ie. Group and detail. Even though it shows all information in the same page we can double click on group item to go in drill down option. Crystal will open all drill down information in a different tab. It will not open in the same page. It is by design
