reg:Acess to Software Component version

Hi all,

I have created a new software component version and imported it into Integration repository.Now i want to restrict the access of this SWCV, so that only selected userid's can edit the objects under it.

Can anyone please help me in this..

Hello,

Yes you can do such restriction but only if your XI/PI version is PI 7.1.

First step go to TOOLs menu and choose 'Edit authorization' enter XI developer names and check only 'Execute Report' setting. So know XI developers have READ ONLY acces to all SWCV's.

Now go to you SWCV: call with hepl of right button menu and choose edit authorization (so we do local authorithation for one SWCV) and check 'Execute Report' and 'Write' setting for user id's.

You shouldn't restart you XI server for this authorization changes take effect.
