Recipe Management - RMWB

Former Member

About 9 months ago we upgraded from 4.6B to ECC5.0.

Recipe Management is new functionality. Trying to get a base level of knowledge before attending training. I have printed and scanned/read most of the 231 pages of online documentation.

Please suggest where to start.

I have looked for other docuements from SAP, but have been unsuccessful.

Can I back fit existing master recipes into recipe management?

Can anyone provide a simple example?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Bruce,

Try to access the PLM pages in the SAP Service Market Place (I hope you have access!) - http://service.sap.com/plm.

Under Demos -> mySAP PLM Roadshow 2003 -> Media Center Process you can find a few SAP Tutor Sessions about Recipe Management.

This should guide you through the first steps.

Best regards,

Andreas

I enter the URL, but go to https://websmp201.sap-ag.de/plm

I don't see DEMO on the page and don't get a message indicating I have limited or no access.

Assuming an access issue, who do I contact?

That you are forwarded to websmp201 is ok.

Haven't you been asked for a User ID and PW when opening the site?

When I logon with my C-User (for SAP partners) I see on the left side a menu tree structure with an entry 'Demos'.

I think it should also be possible to access this page for SAP customers (but I am not quite sure).

If you open http://service.sap.com you will find on the lower part a screen the 'How to Sign in'-section. Maybe this helps.

Regards,

Andreas

Assuming these two statement occur, I would have no reason to sign in.

 • The SAP Passport installs itself in your browser.

 • As soon as you open a new browser window and access the SAP Service Marketplace there is no need to enter your user-ID and password.
