field length

Hi Experts,

I have a scenario file to PROXY.Sender is MDM and receiver is BW.BW wants the elements in some particular size.i mean field length of the elements.How can u do this is XI.Is it possible in PI/XI.

such requirements have to be taken care in your mapping itself. When you do the mapping you should make sure you send data as per what BI expects in terms of the length.

Its very much possible in XI,You can achieve this during mapping by using substring or some other functions

Define length in your data types. When you generate the proxy on BW system, these legths will be used to create the strucutures on ABAP side.
