Problem with data slices

Hi All

We have created a data slice in IP useing the Exit classs to lock the previous year data. I am created a Input ready query on that. When we run the query we find that previous year columns are locked but we unable to create new rows to enter the data. It throwing some error.The message we get is u2013 No new rows or columns because the axis is not input-ready. The same problem doesnu2019t occur for a data slice based on selections.

Please suggest what can be done in this case.

Hi,

It looks like , you have to restrict the year to a single value. The multiple values is not allowed as you know in order for the layout to be input ready, the first rule of thumb is the char comb must "unique". So, try restricting the year and it should work fine.
