Max DB

Hi friends,

We have installed MAX DB on solution manager, we are new to the MAXDB, how can we find the database server name, database instance for MAXDB and Maxdb admin user name and password, like in SQL we have system/manager,.

what would be the default password for dbmcli and sqlcmli user name and password for the MAXDB.

For the starters where should be start working is it on the MAXDB GUI or dbmcli or sqlcli and where can we find the starters documentation.(apart from SAP's)

Hello!

Well, 'database server name' is the server on which you installed the database.

'database instance' is the name of your database - typically the same as the SID (system ID).

Default user for dbmcli or DBMGUI is 'control' with password 'control' - if you used a master password, try that one for user 'control'.

To administer the database you can use DBMGUI or transaction DB50.

Reading the online documentation and the wiki would be a good idea...
