hi all ,
is there any possibility to create a dummy shipment and/or shipment cost document in order to
predict the shipment cost ?
is there simulation mode in transactions vt01n / vi01 ?

You have to configure the following before:
Logistics Execution > Transportation > Shipment Costs > Define Profiles for Shipment Cost Information
You´ll need a variant or several, depending if you want to estimate cost or also compare the best option from differents vendors. You can create those differents variants (for each scenario) on VT04 transaction.

what i was aiming for was to get the best option from different vendors / service agents .
i want to estimate the shipment cost based on the condition records in the system .
can you point me to additional information about the configuration ? ( guides / sap help )

hey all ,
i'm trying to create a shipment cost estimate in transaction vt02n .
i'm getting a message " shipment cost not yed calculated " and in the log there is
2 messages :
1. shipment cost document generated ( simulation ) with a red led ( error )
2. shipment costs $003 not saved because they contain no items .
what are the configuration that i have to make for the shipment cost estimate ?
