Hi Prasad,

One point in addition to the comments above. CIF Post Processing can only be used for Transaction Data. Errenous Master data entries will lead to queue blockage but they will never appear in CIF Post Processing.

Hi Prasad,

The following is the menupath to activate the cif error handling in customisation. Please note this is basis activity and need not to be done without consulting basis team. They only review and activate if feasible.

spro > SAP SCM Implementation guide > Integration with SAP components > Integration via CIF > Basic settings for data transfer > CIF Error handling > Activate CIF Error handling.

Hope this is helpful to you. Please confirm.

Hello,

The activation can be done using the transaction /sapapo/c2. Once this is executed, enter you BSG,logical system, queue type and error handling as post processing for erros. Then save and come out. the post processing is active. you will be able to go in to the transaction /sapapo/cpp1.

Hi Prasad,

CIF Post-processing is used in error handling. During CIF monitoring process, normally we use to monitor inbound and outbound queues. These queues will get jammed if there are any discrepancies in master data or transactional data. If there is any major missing master data, then the cif queues will not allow further queues to get processed and the whole system runs and other activities will get stopped.

In SAP, this functionality CIF Post processing is mainly used to avoid stoppage of business transactions. Whenever, you see major queues or faulty queues in the inbound or outbound areas, you can save those queues in a particular area so that other queues can be activated and made to pass through so that the business activities can be carried out.

During this process, only the faulty queues can be saved and actions like corrective and preventive actions can be taken for those queues by correcting master data or transactional data at our own conveneince via cif post processing.

The following condition for cif post processing are;-

CIF error handling must be active.

Hope this will resolve your query. Please confirm
