Hi,
does anybody have experience with the performance of file adapter?
Is there a size limit for files to be read or written?
Did you regognize a performance problem during execution of large files?
Any answers, also suggestions are welcome!
Udo
Hi Udo,
Performance of File Adapter depends on many parameters-
Yes, depends on many parameters-
1) Memory - Sizing of hardware
2) Logic used to process the file ( for eg. write a script which will split the file etc)
3) If multiple files at a time having huge volume of data, you can go with EOIO method
But we have processed up to 10MB files without any problems. I took around couple of seconds
I think , Definitely it is based on the System configuration.

Moorthy

Hi Moorthy,
Could you please describe what you mean when you say "2) Logic used to process the file ( for eg. write a script which will split the file etc)".
Where can you put an splitting script in the file adapter? You mean though a module?
Thanks,
Patricio.
