contract management in SRM

Dear gurus,

I would like to have your opinion on contract management in SRM. The contracts from ECC system can be uploaded into the SRM system. Once the uploading is complete, the contracts in SRM become the lead contract. Even then, release of a purchase order against the contract is possible in the backend system. It is possible in backend system as well. But, the changes are not updated from backend system to SRM system and vice versa. Would not lead inconsistency into the contract? is it not a limitation of SRM Contract management?

Your feedback will be highly appreciated.

Regards,

Ranjan

Hi Ranjan,

You are correct but once you transfer the contract in to srm and you have to block the contract in r/3 so r/3 contract become invalid and dead. i think you can block all the items in backend contract.if you forget to do .it become danger.

Hi Muthu,

Thanks for the info. I will block the contract items in the backend to prevent the release of PO aginst it in the backend system.
