"Uncaught Exception Dump"

Hi All,

We are implementing SRM 4.0 in classic scenario and we are having problems with any changes made in the item details page. (eg: change in company code or plant or a custom field). The system is throwing up a short dump. We did a little research and found that it is a pricing issue.

I am aware of the option of using simplified pricing using the BADI but we have decided to stick with IPC 4.0 and want to resolve this issue.

Also when i enter a manual price for internal goods and service, it throws up an error " Incorrect status in pricing"

How to correct the error

You may able to find an interim solution to the problem

in the SAP note system. If you have access to the note system yourself,

use the following search criteria:

"UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION" CX_BBP_PD_ABORTC

"SAPLBBP_PDH" or "LBBP_PDHU08"

"BBP_PD_ABORT"

Anybody have any suggestions on solving this issue. Has anybody faced such a problem before.

Thanks

Sundeep

Hi Sundeep,

For classic scenario, IPC is not required !

You should deactivate it

Hi Adam,

please open a new thread, and give me details on your dump from transaction ST22 (especially the call stack of programs).

Uncaught Exception Dump can have many reasons (not only IPC): read this note

673372 Short dumps UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION in SRM 3.0, 4.0, and 5.0

Hi the only thing I can suggest is you check to see if the IPC is up and running.
