Sir,

At my client Scenario is like this-

Finish Material is manufactured say X

Customer places order of X.

But our client is doing packing of that material in STD packing where the inventory of packed material is maintained.

While selling the material they sell it by code X.

Now the query is if I will have to packed the material in STD packing in PP I have to maintain production BOM & Routing, raise production order confirm it then only the inventory of STD packed material is generated say Y.

But while selling it is sell by X how to map it

Hi ,

For material X,create a recursive BOM in that assign X and packing material.

You should call Std packed material stock also as X,but to track you may think of different storage location.

Create a order for X,Do Confirmation,GI and GR.

While doing GR for Finished material X(packed material )after the packing operation,you make a GR to a different storage loaction.from that location do a PGI

Hi,

You can consume packing material against cost center with 201 movement and there is no need to include the same in BOM if it's essentially not required by you.By this way you can consume packing material at cost center level and deliver X without maintaining additional master data.
