hi there,i have the material called resistor,it is of two types 10ohm resistor and 20 ohm resistor.
do i need to maintain the material master for 10ohm and 20 ohm seperately or one material with batch mangemnt is enough?please give me the solution
if i manage it in batches does it automatically apply the split valuation or i need to confiure the batch management and split valuation seperately.
also please explain me how the batch mangement is confiured

Hi
If u got the relevant answer then award points based on the solution, otherwise leave it, normally different people have different solution approach for a particular case, you have to do the feasibility analysis of all the solutions which suits your requirement.
Consultants are spending their valuable time in giving solutions to the queries, so award points if its relevant, otherwise leave it.

Hi
You have to use two material master records for those 2 resistors. You cant maintain with different batches. Batch management is only meant for the materials which are received with single GRN . For each GRN line item, one batch will be created for all the quantities of the materials. So it is not possible to use batch management here,.

Hi,
You can activate batch management and split valuation for a material. If you want to valuate a single material with diiferent and value , split valuation will do.

useless fellow cant u see my question clearly, iam asking u to tell me whether i can do it in my case, god sake iam not asking to tell me the meaning of split valuation or batchmanagemnt.
i urge people like u to desist from posting coz it will certainly mislead others. next time i will complain to moderator becareful
