Hi MDM guru's,
We use MDSS to syndicate data to outbound ready folder, of FTP. Can we syndicate the data from Syndicator to any other path or common ftp folder other than outbound ready folder.
If so, where do we define the path for the file to be stored.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Hi Srihari,
Change the path in the Distribution Root dir of mds.ini file located in
C:\Program Files\SAP MDM 5.5\Server, to the place where you want your inbound/outbound to be stored for auto import/syndication. Syndicated file will get stored in the ready folder of the set outbound port of the repository.
If you are doing manual syndication then you can store the file in the desired location you want after you execute syndication command.
Thanks
Manish

Hi Srihari,
When you syndicate using the MDSS the system will always syndicate to the outbound Ready folder.
This folder is automatically created when you create a Port in console and it is always created under the same path. ie MDM server/Distribution/remotesystem/Inbound/outbound/Port/Ready.
Changing the root node path should also change the location path of the port folder Dividing the path is between and saving it else where I do not feel is possible.
You can however create other folders in some other location and use a background job to Read the file in the Ready folder and place it in the other folder .
Else you always have the option to perform it manually.
Hope It Helped
Thanks & Regards

Hi Srihari,
It is not possible to change the path while working with MDSS. There is no such setting even in MDSS.ini file. You can try with batch file which copy the file from outbound ready folder to the desired path and schedule the batch file.
