We currently have a number of Status 'Reasons' that are in use within the Opportunity Reasons Codes/Groups etc.
I need to remove/delete these so they dont appear in the drop down list within the Opportunity screen. As these are in use and I can't delete these this is causing me problems...
I need to either stop these appearing or delete them - can anyone help?

Hi Barry,
You may achieve your Requirement by simply Hiding the Reason Codes which are not in Use,
You are right that Deletion of the Reason Codes used in Opportunitites created earlier shall make the Reason codes Blank for the Old created Orders,
Instead opt for Hiding the Statuses in the same,this shall solve your problem
Use FM and set the statuses which you donot require as Hidden will solve your Requirement.

Hi,
You can remove the Status Profile from Transaction Type itself.
CRM> Transaction> BAsic Settings-> Define Transaction Type
Select your Transaction and click on details buttons. there you can change your status profile or create a new Status profile with tx-CRMBS02 and assign new status profile to your Transaction.
The whole concept lies in subject Profile.
You can control the Status and Reason thru below path:-
CRM Basic functionsCatalogs, Codes snd Profiles--Assign Status Profile and Subject Profile to Business Transaction
