Copy value from one ctype to other ctype

Hi Experts,

I am creating a sales order with reference to a contract. I want to copy the rate (KBETR) of condition type ZXXX from contract to condition type ZYYY in sale order. But I am not able to copy it through copy control.

Can anyone help me?????????

Hi Kuldeep Dahiya,

Copy control only copies one document to other document with same condition types, for your requirement you need to write a routine.

Instead why not copy ZXXX to ZXXx only in contract and order.This is a standard functionality-if you want to copy ZXXX to ZYYY then you require development in the form of a routine.

The previous poster is correct. But if the critical thing is to bring in the price from the contract, suggest you consider allowing the contract condition type to be on the order (to do this would mean in your pricing procedures for the sales order & any subsequent procedures -- like billing for example -- would need to include the contract condition type)

But at least then when create w/ref to contract is used the $$ from the contract would copy into the order.
