hi,

I am facing following two problems

1.In one of the cube there is charcteristick called customer ,earlier value for each row was getting populated in cubes,off late since last month suddenly values for customer characteristick not populated for each row (custome is blank for these row).However every day scheduled process chain show green status. What could be reason for this and how to diagnose this problem.

2..Currently bw developement data is uploaded from r/3 developement data and r/3 quality data.we dont have valid and sufficient data in r/3 quality and r/3 development

Can we go for client copy of bw production to bw development so that all tables related to psa,dso,cubes etc can be copied to bw developement along with loaded data

Regarding client copy - it is recommended to go for syste copy .. client copy does not get your data ... only configurations - also please note that such an activity on the dev system is usually accompanied with a development freeze and any incomplete development has to be handled carefully or you may end up loaing the same when you do the copy ...This is one of the reasons why many people do not go for this option - instead - have another separate system copy made and call it a staging system where you can do all your tests - only that this system will not be in your regula transport route and transports have to be made specifically to the staging system which should get refreshed regularly and will have the requisite data.

Regarding the customer coming as blank - did you check the data source if the value is blank there ..? if not then check the various stages of the data flow...
