Question:
Two company codes selling to one customer can maintain only one customer number in the system.
- True or False.
- Please explain your answer.

Logically and practically the scenario is true
Yes You can do that
First you have to create a customer in 1 company code and a sales area with all the details in XD01
The again in XD01 you have to put the same customer no and input the second company code and sales area and in the reference colunn you have to input the existing or the first company code and sales area which you have already created
Then you will get the message the customer is already created and extended for this company code and in that the second company code details and sales area details can be modified according to the requirement
By doing so the customer will be there for 2 company codes and 2 sales areas with the general data of him will be the same and company code and sales area data differing for 2 different company codes and sales areas
The same qn was asked by you earlier with a lot of inputs flowing from members all telling that it is possible
So please dont repeat the same qns as it is answered well

You can create one customer and extend this customer to the other company code
Then the other company code can also sell with out creating new customer
In extending the cstomer the General data is not chanaged
U have to change the company code data and the sales area data

Yes, You can do it, You will have to extend the customer to the sales area
Suppose you have created a customer for
1. one Account Group say "Domestic customers"
2. Company code is ZXXX,
3. Sales area is 1000/100/10.
Now if you are having a scenario wherein the same customer is involved in Export scenario or process. Then in that case instead of creating new customer for the same customer we will extend this customer to new export sales area.
This is performed in XD01 Screen itself.
Enter the Account Group wherein the customer is existing
Enter Company code: ZXXX
Enter the sales area where you want to extend 1000/EX/EX --in the same screen there is a header
Reference - in which you enter customer no. (Internall or external) should be mentioned here,
Company code ZXXX
Sales area: 1000/100/10
Click Tick mark, Now the customer is Extended to new sales area.
