Delivery creation with respect to Storage Type

Hi Gurus,

Can we have a control on the deliveries creation with respect to the storage Types.

The situation is to have the outbound deliveries created only from a perticular storage type neglecting other storage types. Is there any customization?

Yes,

We can not have the availibility check at the Warehouse level. However, we can have different pick strategies for the deliveries created. Hence delivery creation can not be controlled at warehouse level in standard SAP. Thanks all for your views.

Hi,

System will serach storage type on the basis of storage type search strategy. When you want deliveries to be created only from one storage type then material should be available in that storage type only.For this you have to ensure that material will be placed in that storage type.

Try following customisation,

WH>Strategy>Stock removal strategy -->Define strategy for strignat fifo -->Exeption of individual storage type Define.

Here you can tick for the storage type which you do not suppose to search for picking.

Hi,

By blocking the storage types you can avoid certian set of storage types or storage bins, when the system perform search.

For blocking of Storage types you can use the following T-codes

LS06 - Storage Bin Selection

LS08 - Range of Storage Bins

LX05 - In Bulk Storage

LS12 - Storage Type

Hi ,

For this you have to define storage type serch strategy,

Path,

LE> WM>Master data >Material>storage type indicator \

LE> WM>Master data >Material>storage section indicator

Then,

LE> WM>Strategires>activate storage type serch (whmaintion indicator -- st type)

LE> WM>Strategires-->activate storage section serch (wh -- maintion indicator -- st section)

Maintain the material master with warehouse number & storage type.

( In the case of fixed bin maintain the storage bin in wm-2 view)

Maintain the storage type indicator & storage section indicator.

If you have allready maintained the storage type search strategy then remove the symbol *** from yor storage type search.

In standard system this is not possible 'cause WMS has nothing to do with ATP. You could use some workaround (e.g. exclude storage location from MRP) or development but I would suggest you should forget this idea...
