You can only post in new year after closing the previous year

Dear All,

I have One issue, when i am running depreciation.

I Uploaded Assets through AS91 after that we post transfer entries in OASV taking thtransfer date 31.01.2009.

Now i want to calculate depreciation from perid 11 and 12 in 2008.

When i am doing Depreciation Run, i Getting Error like this.

You can only post in new year after closing the previous year.

Message no. AA687

Diagnosis

You want to post in a new fiscal year. However, a posting must have been made in the last period in the previous fiscal year before you can do this.

Procedure

Post to the last period in the previous year first.

Please help on this issue.

Hi,

have you searched in the SAP service marketplace for a solution? Note 144441 describes this problem and contains a workaround.
