New Plant Or Storage location for return process

Dear experts,

Is it the right process to define new palnt for return process(return goods) or to create a new storage location ( for return return goods) along with return shipping point?

Dear Friend,

Creating new Plant only for Returns is not a good option.

Because, a Plant would also involve treatment of Excise entries (while Outbound Delivery, Returns, re-issue, etc). ..

I feel its better to create a additional storage location & shipping point for handlilng Returns stock. This would also facilitate easy one-step movement of Goods between one storage location to another...

Hi Jyothi,

There is nothing wrong in maintaining a new seaparate plant and Storage location for returns process along with new shipping point exclusively for returns.

But it is suggestable to use a storage location when compared to plant.

According to me , nothing wrong in this.

By keeping this way , you can get business data separately for return orders .
