Hi,
I am doing SAP IS retail integration with SAP AII.. I am new to SAP AII.
now I want to sent article master IDOC from SAP retail system to SAP AII. for this interface any requirement of XI system or we can sent article master IDOC direct to SAP AII .
please suggest.
Regards,
Amit
Hi Amit,
Backend integration (SAP R/3) to SAP AII is via SAP XI.
I guess it can be possible directly also but will require lot of custom ABAP Development.
Its always best to go with SAP XI because it will supoprt standard integration interfaces with SAP AII.

Hi Amit,
I am not aware Article Master IDOC interface in XI. You can get this answer in XI forum.
Howeer, Material Master IDOC integration between R/3 and SAP AII is a very standard scenario that is followed in AII integration using XI. This is a standard integration available.
So you should check out the same for Article Master also.

In case there is no IS-retail article specific XI content currently available, You can enhance material master IDOC for IS-retail relevant fields like article code etc.
You also have to enhance interfaces in XI and AII. The processing logic in AII also needs to be enhanced suitably to save and store additional data.
Alternately you can allow for suitable BAPI calls between AII and IS-retail for article master.
Both above approaches will require appropriate development. The first approach will be better

Ashit
