EWA vs. SLR??

Hi experts,

What is the difference between EWA and SLR? I read that SLR is based on EWA. From what I've read, it sounds like EWA gives you a report on everything and SLR gives you a report on just the things that you pick out of your SLA. Is the look and feel of the EWA report the same as the SLR?

Thanks!

Daniel

For me the main diference of the reports are:

EWA is a report based on SAP standards.

On the other hand in SLR is based on target KPI's (you set your own KPI's)

Thus a SLR is mainly intended to report your system to your custommers

an EWA is mainly intended for administrators, to maintain your system healty.

I think an SLR can also be very useful for an Administrator in case he needs to meet some SLA agreement in order to make his customer happy

Hi Daniel

the SLR (Service Level Reports) helps you to meet your SLA whereas the EWA helps you to monitor your System, look for bottlenecks and performance issues

please check

SLR:

EWA:

an SLR could look like this:

From reading the SLR link, is having a business process a requirement for using SLR? If I don't use BPM or configure business processes, can I not use SLR?

you can monitor a BP via your SLR but SLR is purely based on EWA
