hi,

MRP can done by CBP(Consumption based planning) and MRP...

Out of it under CBP you go for:

1. Reorder point planning

2. time phased planning

3. forecast based planning...

You can check its futher tree links via gng to MM03 under MRP tab 1 , MRP type field...

Hope it helps..

hi,

here is link:

[CBP|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/HELPDATA/EN/7d/c2821c454011d182b40000e829fbfe/frameset.htm]

CBP uses the consumption history values while running MRP...these values are stored at MMR, additional tab , under consumption tab...So only it is called consumption based planning...

In short process:

1. Make MMR with MRP views

2. Make the source data like Inforecord, outline agreement and assign as a source in the quota arrangement or source list..in souce list make it MRP relevent...

3. use MD03 for planning run...make the planning file entry..

4. check the results at MD04/MD05...from the same list you can futher make conversions like PR to PO etc...

FOR CBP we do SPRO settings from here:

SPRO >> MM >> CBP >> here check for plant parameters...and other settings if req...

Hope it helps..

Regards
