problem in configuration of material master

Dear cons

I want to make quality management control key field is a required field in material master. so in T-code-

OMSR I selected field selection group-99.& make it as a required field.At the time of creating material master the system activated other field like certificate type & target QM system as required field along with QM CONTROL KEY.How can we make it only QM CONTROL KEY as a required not other.

Hi

Create a new selection group of your own and do the changes whatever you wish for your material type.

THe field name for certificate type is QZGTP... Selct the right arrow in the transaction OMSR and make it as optional in MM01..

Hope this helps..

In a similar way try to do for Target system...QSSYS... make it as optional or hidden for MM01..

Hi,

You got to understand that the group that you have chosen is for multiple fields. So assign a different group no. for the QM control key alone. Eg. if group no.999 is not available then assign the group no. this will solve the problem.
